When a customer or client submits a Google review, it typically appears on the business profile within 1-2 hours. However, there are some common reasons why a review may not show up as expected. One of the main reasons for this is that the review may violate Google’s Guidelines, which include restrictions on spam, inappropriate content, and fake reviews. In some cases, moderated and filtered reviews may also be false positives, meaning that they should not have been removed from the business profile.

There are several other reasons why Google reviews may not show up, including bugs caused by updates to Google Business Profiles, an unusual quantity of reviews in a short period of time, prohibited or restricted content, paid or fake reviews, profanity or offensive language, the inclusion of links in reviews, misleading reviews, pending reviews, unverified or inactive profiles, duplicate profiles, and reviews left before a business is open to the public.

If a user believes that there is an error causing a Google review to not display on their profile, they can open a support ticket to have the issue reviewed. Before doing so, they should ensure that their profile’s reviews do not violate any of the reasons listed above and refer to Google’s documentation on missing and delayed reviews. Users can follow the steps provided in the documentation to contact support and select the “Review missing” option. They can then choose their preferred method of contact and submit their ticket.

Once the cause of the missing review has been identified and it has been confirmed that the review follows Google’s Guidelines, users should reach out to support to resolve the issue. It is important to continue generating positive Google reviews by sharing the review link with customers. This can improve engagement on the business profile, lead to more visibility, and ultimately benefit the business.
